창문 X 파라솔 (Window X Parasol) 
with 서보모터, 편광필름 (Servo motor, Polarized film)

주변의 빛에 따라 투명해지거나 빛을 가려주거나 할 수 없을까요?
편광필름이 있다면 재밌는 장치들이 만들어질 수 있답니다.
(With polarized film, you can make interesting things  
 changing its light transmittance as the surroundings

 get brighter or darker.)

원래 자연 속에서 빛은 사방으로 진동하는데 
편광필름을 지나면 빛을 한 방향으로만 진동하는 편광으로
바뀌게 됩니다. 특정 방향으로 진동하는 빛만 통과시켜주는 것이죠.
편광필름은 선명한 화질을 위한 모니터 등에 쓰이기도 하고,
선글라스에 쓰이기도 합니다.

특정 방향만 통과시켜주는 편광필름 둘이서 만난다면?

둘이 방향이 같을 때는 둘 다 빛을 통과시켜주겠지만

둘 중 하나가 방향이 돌아가서 A가 통과시켜준 빛을

B가 통과 못 시켜주겠다고 할 수도 있겠지요.

그럼 새까맣게 보일 것입니다.

그래서 마이크로비트로 파라솔이나 창문장식을
만들면 재밌겠다는 생각이 들었습니다^_^
(So I came up with the idea that I could make
 parasole or window interactive art using 2 polarized film,
 1servo motor and microbit)

아래는 작년 가을에 교사연수에서 소개했던 작품입니다.
정교한 모터만 있다면 하루종일 천천히 변화하는 
창문의 장식을 만들 수 있을 것 같아요.
(I think I can make it react more slowly to the sunlight 
 with accurate motors. ^_^)
